Tia’s Tips: 5 Ways to Cozy Up Your Home for Fall Without Spending A Dime
It’s been awhile since we’ve done any home décor posts on the site – well, that’s changing today! I’ve been browsing Pinterest and finding such beautiful, inspiring ideas for cozying up your home for fall. Since not everyone has the resources to completely revamp their home with every season, I found a couple updates that don’t require any spending at all – just some creativity and determination 🙂 So grab a blanket and a mug of hot tea and get ready to be inspired…
1.) Use an old quilt and/or blanket as a tablecloth:
Grab a quilt or plaid blanket and throw it over your table to use as a makeshift tablecloth. It instantly makes your kitchen feel more cozy and fall-ready.
2.) Make apple candleholders:
How cute are these apple candleholders?? They not only look adorable, but will make your whole home smell delicious. Click here for instructions. This also works well with mini pumpkins 🙂
3.) Frame autumn leaves:
Frame a couple of the leaves in your backyard for beautiful wall accents. If you live somewhere where leaves don’t change color, frame a few artificial leaves like this blogger did instead.
4.) Put candles in your fireplace:
If you have a fireplace, place candles inside instead of lighting a fire. The effect is unexpected, cozy and beautiful.
5.) Bring the blankets out of the bedroom:
Bring your favorite throw blankets out of the bedroom and into the living room! You can drape them on your couch or roll them up and place them in a basket by your couch. It’s an open invitation for cuddling…
