The Essence Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon is an amazing event that we were honored to take part in this year.  This year, we joined in the celebration honoring Oprah Winfrey, Alfre Woodard, Gabrielle Union, Mara Brock-Akil (producer of The Game), Naomi Harris and Quevenzhané Wallis – all amazing, fierce and ground shaking women (and girl…Quevenzhané is only 9 years old!). 

It was a fabulous, fun and inspiring event – and we were excited to rock some fabulous Spring-inspired frocks as we celebrated these six femme fatales! Below, find out how you can steal our look for less:

Tamera:

This was my first official public experience after my pregnancy, so I wanted to arrive with a bang! My stylist Amanda helped me find a sleek white dress with a sexy front cutout, a sparkly clutch and pointy nude heels.  I felt like one hot momma!! I wanted to show off my new boobies (lol) and flaunt my post-pregnany body – I’m still getting used to all these new curves, but that doesn’t mean I need to hide my figure. I’m proud of my body! I loved how a dab of bronzer and a swipe of sheer, pale pink lipstick brightened up my whole face and really complimented this figure-hugging dress. Here’s how you can get my look for less:

I LOVE bright colors, so the minute my stylist Adeel (remember him from my Warm Bodies Premiere video diary?) showed me this purple dress I knew I had to wear it to the luncheon.  I think this bright shade of purple is so universally flattering, and so very chic and “Spring”! I also loved the unique cut of the dress – lately I’ve been encouraging myself to take more fashion risks, and this dress is definitely one of them.  I am obsessed with dangly earrings, and I think the ones I ended up wearing are the perfect compliment to this regal-looking frock. With the ruby and gold accents, the dress made me feel like a queen! Here’s how you can steal my style:
