Inspiring Interiors: Our Nurseries

Dec 14, 2012 at 3:48pm by Tia & Tamera Mowry

As many expectant moms know, creating the perfect nursery is one of the most important parts of nesting. While we share similar tastes and parenting styles, you all will soon learn that sometimes when it comes to style and home décor we can have very different opinions!

From Tia:

I love everything about my serene nursery. My favorite part is the Cree Glider (aptly named!) because that is where Cree and I get to bond while we cuddle over bedtime stories and his nighttime bottle.

Tia's serene and neutral nursery:

From Tamera:

I love how my nursery has elements that reflect things that my husband and I love. The Giants jersey is the perfect addition since Adam is a former MLB player. We are excited to share so many moments and milestones with our son, this room will be a haven away from the chaos of daily life where we can bond as a family.

 Tamera’s blue-hued, sporty nursery:

What does your dream nursery look like? Will you go for a gender-neutral hue like Tia did? Or will you incorporate your favorite sports team for a themed-nursery like Tamera?

 Xx,

Tia & Tamera

They're both really nice! I especially like the theme of baby Aden's nursery. Your boys are so blessed! :)

I love both nurseries but I'm really feeling tia's gender-neutral hue nursery Tamera has a beautiful baseball themed but I don't want a sports nursery because they might not like that as they get older so yeah I'm in love with tia's nursery I'm not a sports person so no not a sports nursery I would just pick a original style nursery without too much sports oh no I'm liking how tia got her little chair so they can bonded as a family

I'm in the process of trying to conceive, so have been thinking LOTS about a nursery. I've never really said one way or another what I 'must' do for mine, but am now leaning towards a neutral theme. I love both of your ideas and can see myself incorporating aspects of both.

Both nurseries are very creative. I won't be having babies anytime soon but I love to plan out future goals. I haven't thought of a theme-nursery, but I'm inspired to start thinking of one and making a vision board. Amesome idea. Thanks Tia and Tamera. xoxo

I love both nurseries. I decided to go with a finding nemo theme for my sons room and my husband and I absolutely love it. There is a high definition sea blue paint with a white ceiling. There are some little picture like hangings and he has stuffed fish and beat
bears. We also have like a stuffed turtle night light that puts stars on the ceiling and sings to him.

My sons room is themed. We chose to do a DC super hero themed room for our little one. My fiance and I both love the DC super heroes. The walls are a deep blue with an accent wall that is red. Decals are on the walls as well with super heroes. The room really reflects our child hood past things that we have grown up with. Love both the nurseries you both chose for your little ones. I'm a huge baseball fan and wish I had your nursery Tamera.

I love Tia's dark wood and crisp white linen. Her nursery is very serene and quiet. I love Tamera's light fixture and wall treatment. Her nursery has a lot of personal touches, and I love that aspect. Both of the nursery's look great and fits their personalities from what I can tell. Love these ladies!!

I do love both of your nurseries. Fr my own I definitely want to incorporate a two toned color room. I also love polka dots or stripes. Pinterest has given me so many ideas.
