We love reading all of your comments and browsing the forums, and noticed that a lot of you guys have been asking about our herbal tea supplement Milky to help boost the quality and quantity of your breast milk. Well, we are so excited to be able to give you a sneak preview of it before it hits shelves! You can sign up to be the first to know about all things Milky at our teaser website here. It will be coming very soon, yay!!
Speaking of breastfeeding, we know that is a lot of debate over the issue and a lot of mommies who think they can’t produce enough. That’s why we decided to do a little research to give you the low-down on the truth:
Myth: There isn’t anything available that is actually proven to increase breast milk production.
Truth: Many women don’t know that there is scientific backing for a certain natural supplement to increase breast milk – but there is! Fenugreek (methi) has actually been proven through lots of scientific studies and tests to increase breast milk. Some doctors say that if you include it in your diet, you will have an increased supply of milk within a few days! Of course, we think Milky is going to be amazing in helping new mommies – it’s made with fenugreek, which is also a great source of iron, calcium, vitamins and minerals. It’s such a simple way for nursing mommies to get the fenugreek they need to produce more milk! Another thing to keep in mind is that even though fenugreek is proven to increase breast milk, your baby still might have a big appetite. There is no shame in using formula later on, and we think it is a total myth that you won’t bond with your baby if you use it. That special mommy-baby time is still going to help you two grow closer, whether or not you breastfeed!
Other foods like fennel seeds, nuts, butter and oats are all said to help increase breast milk too, and factors like drinking enough water and your own nursing patterns (the more the better, at regular intervals) all play a part in your breast milk production. Just make sure you do your research first!
We know what it feels like to be nervous about breastfeeding and producing enough milk – the important thing is to try not to stress! It will only hinder your ability further, and the important thing is to focus on bonding with your baby.
We’ll keep you updated on all things Milky, but in the meantime, let us know:
What are your challenges and triumphs when it comes to breastfeeding?
Xx,
Tia & Tamera

T&T thank-you so much for such an amazing product. I rushed out the day I heard it was in stores and bought a weeks worth and it really did help boost my supply. It taste great and is S U P E R convenient - that's the best part. I can just throw two bottles in my pump bag and go! No hot (and nasty lol) tea to brew and no pills to take. I had an oversupply issue when my daughter was first born back in January but definitely felt the difference when I returned to work at 3months and had to start pumping, I even blew through my freezer stash. Last week I had to supplement after even with my best effort I couldn't send her to daycare with enough bottles for the day. After I got the report that she was super gassy from the one 4oz bottle of (organic non-dairy) formula she had I went right out to the mall and bought more milky. Two days later and I'm back up to pumping 10oz a session. Your product is amazing and I just wanted to let you know and say thank-you! Love you ladies. 3kisses 2hugs 1luv -

I am a mom of three. I breastfed all of them two of them for over two years due to allergies to every major food category. There are several things nursing moms need to know. First you have to get in sync with each baby. Every baby has a different nursing style. Some latch on immediately, others you have to show how to do it. As you are going along, there will come a period where your baby seems to nurse constantly. they are going through a growth spurt and increasing your milk supply. It doesn't mean you don't have enough milk. There is another way to increase your milk is by taking brewers yeast in tablet form. It works very well. I would have loved to had a product like this. If you are having trouble nursing many hospitals have lactation specialists or centers you can go to for advice. I loved nursing all of my girls, they also all slept with us until the next one came along, all mine are four years apart. That was Gods timing not ours. I can tell you that the eldest two went to major universities and graduated in four years. They suffered no ill affects by sleeping with us. The youngest just graduated high school last night is on her way to top ten school. Don't make your kids grow up too soon. They need mom. Apes keep there babies attached to them for two years. You cannot spoil a baby. Love them and enjoy your nursing journey. It is over all too fast. -
Just received my order! Am I supposed to stop taking my fenugreek supplements while drinking Milky? -

I am an RN.I dont know if this product will help, it all depends on how long ago you stopped nursing. When your baby is hungry put to breast first to start stimulating milk production , then give bottle after. then see if you start producing again. Drink tons of water and I used brewers yeast tablets to increase my milk. Talk to your pediatrician also. Make sure if you go back to breast completely that baby is gaining weight.Good luck.

With my first born he had a bit of an issue with latching on and getting enough milk, when he was newborn he would get frustrated that my milk wasn't exactly flowing to the best of it's abilities and loose his latch and stop feeding I just remember being so sad because I wasn't able to feed my little man. My doctor saw that because he was having so much difficulty he started loosing weight and suggested that I started him on formula and breast milk... eventually he took to the formula more than the breast milk and stopped feeding from me. I'm pregnant with my second child due in August and I am so scared that the same thing will happen with this baby. I want to breastfeed for as long as I can and I have heard of teas helping boost your milk supply and just recently heard about the different foods that help with food supply... I live very far from any type of mall or babies r us (in the middle of no where)... is it possible for me to order this product online, like will it be available by august online? -
It costs $2.99 per bottle/serving at Motherhood Maternity. The recommended serving is 2 bottles per day. -

Hi there, I just read that you guys launched Milky on May 3rd. When will it be available to purchase online? I'll be 28 weeks on Friday and I'd love to try it out. Thanks :) -
I have just started using the herb in a tablet form and within 2 days my milk was flowing like it did when I first had my daughter. Now im stocking up the freezer with ebm! -
I would love to know when milky will be offically for sale, im due in december and i would love to get my hands on this product before i have my baby. -
I am so happy about this new product you have coming out. I wish I had it when I was breastfeeding at the time. I had trouble breastfeeding. When my son was three months old my milk supply just started slowing down and I freaked. But I know I will be telling everyone and new moms about this product. My twin sister doesn't have children yet and I know she might have this same problem. Keep up the good work. -
I love this idea! As a mother of 2 boys who struggled with milk supply due to a breast deformity that lacks in the tissue used for milk glands. I was clueless with my first son and got zero help with the hospital I gave birth to him at. I got depressed because I felt like a failure. With my second I was more successful because I did pre-reserach before baby. The hospital I birthed him at knew right off the bat what my issue was by looking at my breast. Thanks for creating a product that will help us moms who want to do the best for our babies but lack a bit and struggle! -
I'm due for my third baby girl at the end of this month. I hope your product is made available very soon. My first baby, I didn't breastfeed as well as I did with my second so I just don't know how my third will go. I do think I have trouble getting my milk to come fully. Thanks for making this product for us women!! I would love to try it. -
OMG, I read today that the product is launching!! I need this! When will it be available to purchase?
Thanks,
