As a mommy, my world revolves around my baby. Cree-Cree is the center of my universe, but sometimes I forget there’s another star in my universe too – my husband Cory! The only thing that I like more than spending time with Cree is watching him spend quality time with his Daddy. The two of them are like two peas in a pod. They even like to dress the same sometimes – they’re both wearing matching leather jackets in the picture above…such a handsome pair! It’s easy to get wrapped up in your baby when you’re a new mom, but it’s important to let your hubby have some Daddy-time with your little one as well. Not only is it the perfect way to help them build their bond, but it gives you some quality “me” time too (bubble bath, here I come!!). Here are four fun activities perfect for Daddy-Baby time:
1. Bath time – Bath time is the perfect time for daddies to play and bond with their babies. Remind him to bring a toy or two to make bath time feel like less of a chore (just make sure they are appropriate for your baby’s age). Squeeze toys and foam numbers are perfect once baby starts being able to hold things and bubbles always make baths more fun!
2. Go to the park – Have Daddy bundle up baby and send the two of them on an adventure in the park. Cree loves to zoom ahead now that he can walk, he’s like a little explorer! If your baby can’t walk or the weather is too cold, there are indoor parks that have areas for babies that let them practice grabbing things and crawling. Here is a great list of indoor parks in Los Angeles.
3. Read together – Cree loves it when Cory reads to him! We started reading to him at a really young age, and it’s become one of his favorite pastimes. He loves looking at the pictures, and sometimes will even try to sound out the words. It might seem ridiculous to read to a really young baby, but I’m a firm believer that it makes all the difference – even if they can’t understand you, you’re introducing a love of books to them at a young age that may influence them later on. Here's a sweet picture I snapped of Cory reading to Cree:

4. Get Active – Cory and Cree play basketball with Cree’s little basketball hoop. It’s the cutest thing ever! I love seeing the two of them be active together – it’s the perfect Daddy-baby bonding activity. Cree also loves watching basketball and football on TV with his DaDa…as a result, guess who can say “basketball” and “football” now! After watching a game, they’ll run and play catch in our backyard. Cory even taught Cree how to do push-ups! Well, baby push-ups at least. If you don’t believe me, watch a video of Cree-Cree doing his push-ups *HERE*. What a strong little man!
What other activities should Cory trying doing with Cree-Cree? Share your stories and tips for Daddy-Baby bonding with me below!
Xx,
Tia

Well since your both actors they should make mini movies together and call them Daddy & Cree's Awesome Adventures!! Than when he's older they can watch them together. And if Cree has a son they would be able to share in the same memories you know?! And Adam can do the same with Aden as well... It was just a thought:-) -
That man just LIGHTS UP when he's with his son! It's so endearing. It's no wonder you're so proud! <3 -

I have also noticed that my son loves books, and words. I have tried reading to him, but he is a very busy child. What advise can you give to settle him down so I can read for him ? -
They should definitely start cooking together. Cree-Cree might grow up with a greater appreciation for healthy food, something i think all children should have :) -
My daddy who is very ill right now, we are preparing for his liver transplant. He was with me everyday when I was fighting cancer and I remember asking him "daddy do you remember how we would have music night on Saturdays and you would just laugh seeing me and Bobbie (my sister) dance? He would also go to a store and buy bubbles and the accessories to have bubble's day. So much fun, pray for my daddy everyone I am so stressed about this liver transplant. -
This is exactly what my husband does with our daughter. He works a lot so night time is bonding time. Baths are fun for them. He was so excited when we did a baby registry that he went ahead and bought books to read together. :) -

I just wanted to comment on your opinion on reading to a young child like sweet little Cree. I totally agree with you.
If a could share with you an amazing story with you about my niece. My sister-in-law and brother read to her from birth on consistently and believed it was an important developmental opportunity for their child.
Well, it paid off. My niece was reading on a 6th grade level when she was in 1st grade and loves books. She is now 16 years old and has always received straight A's in school. She is brilliant. She also attended a National Spelling Bee competition in Washington D.C.
I firmly believe what you are doing with your son will pay off. I don't think anyone should think it is "ridiculous". You and your husband are giving him a "leg up" in life" and I applaud both of you for taking the time to go that extra mile. You go mom!!!! -

(Me and my dad vacation from home) What me and my dad did together. Would be a drive/swim day. We would drive around for about 20 mins. (He liked driving and I liked riding) Then, we would go to pool and swim. Play football and water polo. Then, the hole family would join after about a hour. I remember those special times, and even to this day I will never forget what we did together. Believe me, those specials moments are what last forever. -
You have such a beautful family Tia!! Or should I say handsome family? My heart broke when you were talking about the mean things were saying about Cree on your show. I was thinking who can put down a child of God? And as I was thinking that you said they were bullies and you are so right! Cree is such a blessing and will be a blessing to so many people as grows into being a man of God. It warms my heart to see cory being such a awesome daddy to him, daddy's like Cory are few and far between these days. God Bless you,Cory and Cree! -
My husband and son love building forts together. I can just see Cree giggling inside a sheet fort:) -

As a mom I Love to see a father & son bond. I really believe its nothing like a bond between a father & son because thats who he learns how to be a man from . As a mothet to a little boy Im always encourage or try to allow them to have as much quality time together as well as family time all three of us. It just makes my heart smile :) <3 -
well as my mom told my special daddy bonding time was when my mom couldn't get me to sleep or stop crying my dad would take me and let lie down on his chest and belly i would calm down and fall asleep.... even still got a picture of it ;) -
Wonderful to see a father taking an active role in his son's life, an inspiration, especially instilling the fundamental of reading! -
I love father & son bonds. Its amazing when fathers stand up to their responsibilities. That separates the real men from the boys. -
